LMT 201 | CREATING CHURCH CULTURE (3 credits)

This course will study the importance of creating, defining and maintaining a specific culture in an organization. The Crossing’s Code of Values will be studied in depth and you will learn how to be intentional about creating culture as a leader.


LMT 301 | LOCAL CHURCH MINISTRY (3 credits)

What is the purpose of the local church, and how does it fulfill those purposes in our culture today? This course will study the Church’s role in our world. You will learn about Jesus’ purposes for starting the Church, and how Christians from different denominations and perspectives can find unity.


LMT 411 | COUNSELING & PASTORAL CARE (3 credits)

Learn the basics of leading and caring spiritually for the people in your life.  Learn how to listen prayerfully to identify the root of life issues. We will also examine how to offer spiritual guidance and when and where to send people to get the help they need.


LMT 412 | PERSONAL & PASTORAL LEADERSHIP (3 credits)

In this course, you will study Jesus’ ministry to learn and develop essential personal leadership skills. We will take a practical look at what it takes to effectively lead a team of people, including how to invest in people, how to grow and manage your teams, and how to overcome challenges in leadership.


LMT 421 | MINISTRY OF TEACHING & PREACHING (4 credits)

Whether it’s a forty-minute message or five minute momentum meeting, all leaders must be able to communicate Biblical truths effectively. In this course you will learn how to study scripture in order to draw from and teach the principles of a passage, as well as how to prepare for and preach a message.


LMT 501 | GOSPEL AND CULTURE (3 credits)

A church exists in a unique community made up of people of diverse backgrounds, values, and needs. Their common ground is that they all need Jesus Christ - but how can a church share the Gospel to reach such wide variety of people? This course will teach you to make a link between the culture of your community and the Good News of Jesus Christ. Find out how to gather information about area demographics, needs, customs, and values to shape your ministry in a way that will meet peoples’ needs and cause them to give their lives to Jesus.


LMT 512 | MINISTRY ADMINISTRATION (3 credits)

Leading a ministry team involves a large amount of administrative duties, including a knowledge of governmental regulations, safety procedures, and general expectations. This course covers everything from managing and scheduling teams and budgets to assessing your ministry’s alignment with relevant laws. It also covers safety procedures, including CPR and First Aid certification.
